Erik James Montgomery: Camden ReFramed
Jun 04 - Jul 18 2021
- 32 days left
Often people describe Camden using deficit-based descriptors like “underserved”, “disenfranchised” or “poor”. When you erase the humanity of people who live here, this not only expunges their cultural heritage and resilience, but also creates a vacuum where negative stories are the only ones being told. Camden ReFramed switches the frame to show us a different story of the city we know and love.
The exhibition is part of Camden FireWorks' partnership on A New View - Camden (anewviewcamden.com) and will be open at 1813 S Broadway every weekend from June 4 until July 18.
