This two-man show during Traditional Spanish Market features the jewelry designs of silversmith Lawrence Baca and the beautifully transformed gourds of Robert Rivera. Both artists live and work in Santa Fe and draw from numerous local, cultural, and historic sources for their inspiration. Opening reception on July 24 from noon-4 pm and continuing virtually, and in-person as possible, through July 31.

Featuring renowned sculptor Star Liana York, including a newly cast monumental of “Distant Thunder” which has been out of production for 20 years. Her “Spiritual Liaisons" and "Talisman/Totem" series will also be featured, as well as “new pieces inspired by the importance of beauty and spiritual connections in our lives,” exploring how humanity cherishes beauty and creates symbols of spirituality, that provide strength and focus. One-Man Show with David Yarrow during Indian Market - Opening Reception and Exhibition

Recognized as one of the best-selling fine art photographers in the world, David Yarrow will be at Sorrel Sky Gallery during Indian Market for a one-man show and to give a talk about his work. Featured works will include pieces from his Wild West Series, shot over the past several months in New Mexico, Colorado, Utah, and Wyoming. "Your best picture is always the one you have never taken. It is always ahead of you.” Opening reception is on August 19 from 5-7:30 pm, and his presentation will begin at 6:30 pm. The show continues virtually, and in-person as able, through August 31.

During Santa Fe Indian Market, Sorrel Sky Gallery will create a market-like setting featuring the gallery’s Native American artists, select non-Native artists, and several guest artists on August 20-22, 2021, from 10 am - 5 pm. Featured artists and collaborators include Ben Nighthorse, David Yarrow, Ray Tracey, Kevin Red Star, Star Liana York, Jesse Monongye, Jackson Clark of Toh-Atin Gallery, and more. Jackson Clark during Indian Market - Native Art & Weaving Lectures

Jackson Clark, a leading authority on Navajo weaving and owner of Toh-Atin Gallery in Durango, will give two free lectures at Sorrel Sky Gallery on August 20 at 4 pm and on August 22 at 11:30 am. Clark, a founding member and former officer of the Indian Arts and Crafts Association and a past judge at Santa Fe Indian Market, has worked for decades to promote authentic Native American arts and crafts. A large collection of Navajo rugs, vintage and contemporary, from many different areas of the Navajo Reservation will be available through August 31.
