-figur is former LES studio alum Kemar Keanu Wynter's solo exhibition. Following his previous exhibition Rücken-, the titles complete the term Rückenfigur, a visual motif used extensively within the lineages of both German Romanticism and Hudson River School painting, each of which has been integral to Wynter’s practice over the last year. With -figur, Wynter focuses on self-reflection through his continued suite of acrylic-washed paintings on Evolon along with his first stand-alone text-based work.
