Title: LA BELLA MARIA Artist: LEIA SANDS Medium: Acrylic and Glaze Size: 14x11 inches on stretched canvas Date: 2019 FOR DISPLAY ONLY Not For Sale… “La Bella Maria” is an original acrylic painting by International Artist Leia Sands. I did this painting in 2019 and Exhibited her plus 8 other paintings at One Art Space Gallery in NYC in October 2020 that Start Shows Curated, “La Bella Maria” was featured in Splash Magazine in October 2020 and 2 Creative Artist Magazine Print Editions along with many of my other paintings in a 6 page interview in November 2020 & January 2021 where both magazines SOLD OUT completely for the 1st & 2nd time in that magazines history. I was listening to Chris de Burgh’s song “Lady in Red” when I sat down to paint which inspired me to paint my version of the lady in red “La Bella Maria”. Music often inspires my work outta the blue as I’m accustomed to just putting a blank canvas in front of me, turning on some music, and just paint whatever comes to mind.

The Goddesses” is a 40x30 inch mixed media Gold Leaf Sculpture Painting on stretched canvas, dated 2022 by international artist LEIA SANDS. I debuted “The Goddesses” at my show last weekend at the Blue Gallery in NYC on 12-15-2022 called “This Thing Of Ours”. This 3D sculpture painting came to me in a dream and I had to bring out to fruition to share with you all.
